Why a Robe?
Why does Pastor Chris wear a robe? Good question! The Geneva gown, or preaching robe, was traditionally worn by ordained ministers of the Word since the earliest days of the Reformation in the 16th century. Our friend and fellow minister of the Word, Rev. Michael Brown, explains the practice and history of Reformed ministers wearing a Geneva gown.
